Has anybody tried how well Fang performes at hard mode NMZ for optimal points? I’d imagine it does pretty well. I don’t think it will be that huge, only because hard mode nmz their hp increases but their defence doesn’t, with overloads you be pretty accurate anyway. I did not know that the Defence doesn’t increase, in that ... Rapier is better at low to mid def and the fang is better on very high def like Nex. Not sure on the exact cutoff. As it currently stands, the Osmumten's Fang, to me at least, looks nice. It's clean, simple, nicely colored, boasts that desert weapon vibe perfectly, and is a very nice take on a stab weapon. It's not a thin and pointy rapier, it's not a spear, nor a dagger, instead it's a curved longsword with a very pointy tip.Pulled a fang from ToA the other day and figured I had to go test it out. Lots and lots of unique things you can do with it at nex, tob, toa, cox, corp, lis... Another option for players with access to Osmumten's Fang is to bring a full inventory of karambwan, attack the boss without draining defence (or with only one or two dragon warhammer hits), teleport out using a fast bank teleport like the Crafting Cape to refill on food, then teleport back to the Corporeal Beast's lair as quickly as possible ...since the release of Osmumten's fang DHL and DHCB have been hit HARD with FANG outcompeting these 2 items on many dragons. Lance and DHCB tanked because there's no dragons in the fucking raid. The fang beats DHL at mithril, adamant, rune, and brutal black dragons, as well as KBD. Every other dragon in the game lance steamrolls fang all day long ...The fang either needs to either be treated similar to that of a tbow because of its blanket effect or it should see some form of nerf so that it doesn’t render most other items useless. A 60m or even a 400m blanket item is bad because it ends gear progression early. But imo a blanket item is just bad for the game overall.Rapier is up to 15% better at 0 def mobs, give or take a few percent depending on your exact setup, with the breakeven point around bronze dragons or black demons. Glad to see its working for you though, fang is a great all around weapon. Rapier is higher dps against mobs with defense lower than a bronze dragon or so. Rapier/Saeldor/Mace are still better for the majority of slayer tasks because fang is slower and has a lower max hit.
